The Claremont hotel is excited to announce that we are looking for a superstar Duty manager to join our team. With Darts, Meats Raffles, a Poll Table and Daily Happy Hours, The Mont is a favourite place for locals to meet for a good bistro meal or just to catch up with family and friends.

What the role looks like

Reporting to the Hotel Manager you will be hands on in the day-today operations of the venue, including gaming.  You will ensure outstanding customer service and will focus on building key relationships within the community and the team.

Your duties will include, but not limited to

  • Day- to day running of gaming rooms, and hotel
  • Assisting with budgets/ and controlling cost
  • Supervise and support staff during shifts
  • Handel customer queries and complaints
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are always adhered to including gaming regulations

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Experience in a position within the hospitality industry or a related industry, including experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and growing profitability.
  • Demonstrated practical experience in the delivery of quality customer service, preferably in the areas of food, beverage, and gaming.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing an operational team, with a focus on customer-driven service delivery and a practical understanding of contemporary people management practices
  • Demonstrated effective communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and relationship management skills with a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and cooperate with customers, management and co-workers
  • Proficiency in the use of industry related software systems
  • Well-rounded, current gaming knowledge and applied knowledge of relevant legislation/regulations applicable to the hospitality industry.
  • Availability and flexibility to work a variety of night and weekend shifts which may include public holidays on a rotating roster.

Qualifications

  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
  • Current Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) Certificate,
  • Certificate IV/Diploma in Hospitality or above (desirable)
