The Claremont Hotel is excited to announce that we are looking for a full time Chef to join us in our busy Bistro. The Mont if full of life, with darts, meats raffles, pool table and Happy Hour, The Mont is a favourite place for locals to meet for a good bistro meal or just to catch up with family and friends.
What the role looks like
Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and under the supervision of the Head Chef, you will be responsible for a variety of culinary tasks, including but not limited to:
- Food Preparation
- Assisting with cost management
- Ensuring food health and safety compliance
- General cleaning and maintenance
- Menu Planning
- Assisting with inventory and ordering
Successful candidates will have a trade qualification as well as:
- A passion for food, coupled with a dedication to providing exceptional service
- Previous experience in pub/bistro-style dining (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Enthusiasm and commitment
- The ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Reliability and flexibility, with a commitment to working a variety of shifts, including day, night, and weekend shifts.
