Our team is growing, and we are looking for super star Food and Beverage attendants in both our Bistro and Bar and Gaming areas.
About the Claremont Hotel
Located on the Main Road in Claremont TAS, The Claremont now known as “The Mont” is a Local favourite for a great bistro meal or a causal drink with family and friends. With the lounge bar, family bistro and gaming room, there is something for everyone at The Mont.
What we are looking for
- Approach your days with a ‘can do’ positive attitude and not be afraid to show off your energetic and charismatic personality to engage with our guests
- Be passionate about the hospitality industry and have some hospitality or transferable experience
- Be able to work calmly, quickly and methodically under pressure while maintaining a high level of service for our guests
- Experience delivering a high level of customer service and demonstrated passion for customer service excellence
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- Reliability, commitment, and the flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including split shifts, public holidays, weekends and nights is a must
- A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate or the ability and willingness to obtain this at your own cost within 3 months of gaining employment with
Responsibility and duties
Our Bistro you will
- preparing and dispensing beverages
- table service
- attending to enquiries from our customers
- interacting with our guests
- Cleaning and maintenance of bistro
Bar and Gaming
- Managing gaming functions within the venue
- Managing TAB functions within the venue
- Monitoring gaming operations within the venue
- Maintaining compliance and responsible gaming practices
- Day to day operations of a busy gaming room
- Cash handling proficiency
- Preparing and dispensing beverages
The following qualifications are desirable:
- Current Responsible Service of Gaming Certificate (RSG)
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA)
- Keno Writer or Senior Keno Writer
- TAB experience would be an advantage
Availability and flexibility to work a variety of night and weekend shifts which may include public holidays.
